Each cell in the body carries out
far more intricate functions than any high performance
engine. Chemical reactions timed to the millionths of a
second cascade and flow through the cycles of a cell's
activities. Many types of fuel are needed to maintain
the peak vitality and function of cells, upon which
physical health and energy depend.
Nerve cells are at the height of
the cellular pecking order. They are the largest, most
complex, and most fuel sensitive cells in the body. The
richness of nerve cell organization in the brain gives a
storage and creative capacity that dwarfs that of the
mightiest supercomputers.
GemAminos provides a full spectrum
blend of brain boosting, fuel rich amino acids and other
potent nerve cell support nutrients. These amino acids
can be converted to brain hormones that promote
learning, memory and thinking functions or they can be
used directly for brain energy, mental clarity and
focus.
Among the most vital of all of
life's building blocks, every protein and enzyme in the
body is formed from amino acids linked together.
Powerful whole-body energizing molecules like adrenaline
are amino acid derived. Many of the major
neurotransmitters are made from amino acids.
The most critical of all the aminos
are the essential amino acids. The term essential is
applied because the body is unable to make these amino
acids from other nutrients. The body must ingest these
specific amino acids in their exact chemical form from
external sources. A deficiency of any of these aminos in
the diet impairs protein synthesis. GemAminos provides
all the essential amino acids.
The nutrients contained in
GemAminos have been found to have powerful benefits. The
potency of their effects is given a further boost
through our patented laser energizing process. There is
growing scientific evidence that this energizing process
significantly enhances the nutrient effects of the
ingredients. The strongest supportive data thus far has
been derived from directly recording the electrical
output of the brain.
Brain electrical activity is
measured in a test called an EEG or
electro-encephalogram. A brain map is an EEG that
measures the power output of the brain at various
locations over the brain surface. The alpha wave band is
in the frequency of 8-12 cycles per second. The alpha
wave band is in the frequency and has been called a
"state of relaxation with enhanced awareness." In our
initial studies we have observed an increased in alpha
output power up to 50-70% over baseline after ingestion
of energized GemAminos.
The main ingredients of our
high-octane cell nutrition formula are free form amino
acids, antioxidants, and brain chemistry boosting
nutrients.
GemAminos contains a wide array of
free amino acids that provide valuable fuel to the
neurotransmitters in the brain. L-Phenylalanine promotes
alertness and vitality; L-Lysine is vital in the makeup
of critical body proteins and is needed for growth,
tissue repair, and the production of anti-bodies,
hormones and enzymes. Endorphins are natural pain
relievers made in the brain. GemAminos contains
DL-Phenylalanine (DLPA), which may help boost endorphin
levels.
Our ability to learn can be
enhanced with the right combination of nutrients.
Glutamine and L-Tyrosine have been proven to be
effective learning enhancers no matter how old or young.
Both of these are included in the GemAminos formula.
Oxygen used for internal combustion
within cells is vital for cell function. If fuel is not
completely burned in the process of energy generation,
highly reactive molecules called free radicals may be
formed. Free radicals derive their name from having free
or uncombined electrons, which aggressively rip out bits
of other molecules to satisfy their need to combine.
Free radicals may damage membranes, proteins and even
DNA. Their presence is felt to be a factor in the aging
of tissues and the risk of malignancy. Anti-oxidants
neutralize free radicals and protect and preserve the
integrity of tissues. Several anti-oxidant boosting
ingredients are provided in GemAminos.
GemAminos are especially rich in
glutathione, which has been called an anti-aging triple
threat. It deactivates free radicals, is an anti-tumor
agent and has provided benefit in allergies, diabetes,
and arthritis. It has helped prevent harmful effects
from high dose radiation, alcohol and cigarette smoke.
Glutathione acts as a sentinel guarding against modern
toxicity.
Ingredients:
GemAminos Primary Ingredients:
L-GLUTATHIONE is a critically
important brain chemical and one of the most important
brain antioxidants. Glutathione helps to preserve brain
tissue by preventing damage from free radicals,
destructive chemicals formed by the normal processes of
metabolism, toxic elements in the environment, and as a
normal response of the body to challenges by infectious
agents or other stresses. Glutathione is also one of the
most important components of the liver's detoxification
system.
DL-PHENYLALANINE (DLPA) consists of
equal parts of the D (synthetic) and natural L forms.
Addition of the D component serves as an endorphin
booster. Endorphins are natural pain relievers made in
the brain. Increased endorphin levels promoted by DLPA
have been associated with marked relief of chronically
painful conditions, a strong mood elevating action, and
pain relief that becomes more effective over time
without having to increase the amount used.
L-TAURINE: This amino acid has a
potent anti-oxidant action in the spaces between cells.
It is one of the most abundant amino acids in the body.
It is found in the central nervous system, skeletal
muscle and is very concentrated in the brain and heart.
It is synthesized from the amino acids methionine and
cysteine, in conjunction with vitamin B6. Animal protein
is a good source of taurine, as it is not found in
vegetable protein. Vegetarians with an unbalanced
protein intake, and therefore deficient in methionine or
cysteine may have difficulty manufacturing taurine.
Taurine is necessary for the chemical reactions that
produce normal vision, and deficiencies are associated
with retinal degeneration. Besides protecting the
retina, taurine may help prevent and possibly reverse
age-related cataracts. Low levels of taurine and other
sulphur containing amino acids are associated with high
blood pressure, and taurine supplements have been shown
to lower blood pressure in some studies.
Other possible uses for Taurine
supplementation include eye disease, cirrhosis,
depression and male infertility due to low sperm
motility and hypertension. Possible symptoms of toxicity
include diarrhea and peptic ulcers. For those
considering taurine supplements, taurine is known to
have a calming or depressant effect on the central
nervous system, and may impair short-term memory.
Taurine is present in meats and animal products, but not
in plant products.
L-HISTIDINE: Relieves stress and
may enhance libido. It is intricately involved in a
large number of critical metabolic processes, ranging
from the production of red and white blood cells to
regulating antibody activity. Histidine also helps to
maintain the myelin sheaths that surround and insulate
nerves. In particular, Histidine has been found
beneficial for the auditory nerves, and a deficiency of
this vital amino acid has been noted in cases of nerve
deafness.
L-ARGININE and L-ORNITHINE:
Converted into one another their effects are mutually
reinforcing. They act together to promote growth hormone
release, especially beneficial after the age of 30.
Growth hormone promotes muscle building and fat burning
and has been shown to have profound age reversing
properties in older persons. Arginine and ornithine also
promote physical and mental alertness, may increase
sperm counts in males, and can accelerate wound healing.
The immune response is generally enhanced. Arginine and
ornithine should not be given to growing children or
schizophrenic persons. Occasionally a herpes condition
can be aggravated, which effect is counterbalanced in
this product by the presence of lysine. Skin thickening
can occur at extremely high ingestion levels, much
higher than in his product, which effect is reversible
with a reduction in intake. Any physical trauma
increases the need for dietary Arginine for tissue
repair. Connective tissue can also be strengthened to
give healthier tendons and ligaments.
L-GLUTAMINE and L-GLUTAMIC
ACID:Glutamic acid serves primarily as a brain fuel and
can absorb excess ammonia, which would otherwise impair
high performance brain function. Glutamine is formed
when glutamic acid combines with ammonia. Glutamine can
improve intelligence even in the mentally deficient. It
may enhance mood and relieve fatigue. Its use has helped
control alcoholism, sped the healing of stomach ulcers,
and overcome impotence.
L-METHIONINE is the initial amino
acid of the chain in all protein synthesis. Evidence in
lab animals suggests it may promote hair growth. It is
one of the sulphur containing amino acids and is
important in many body functions. Through its supply of
sulphur, it improves the tone and pliability of the
skin, conditions the hair and strengthens nails. The
mineral sulphur also protects the cells from airborne
pollutants, such as smog, slows down the aging process
in the cells, and is involved with the production of
protein. Methionine is essential for the absorption and
transportation and bioavailability of selenium and zinc
in the body. It also acts as a lipotropic agent to
prevent excess fat buildup in the liver, and is an
excellent chelator of heavy metals, such as lead,
cadmium and mercury, binding them and aiding in their
excretion from the body.
L-TYROSINE is a precursor of the
important brain neurotransmitters epinephrine,
norepinephrine and dopamine, which transmit nerve
impulses and are essential to prevent depression.
Dopamine is vital to mental function and seems to play a
role in sex drive.
DMAE is found predominantly in fish
oils. It helps elevate mood, improve memory and
learning, increase intelligence and physical energy, and
has been proven to extend life in laboratory tests.
L-LYSINE: Vital in the makeup of
critical body proteins, lysine is needed for growth,
tissue and repair, and production of antibodies,
hormones, and enzymes. Lysine can promote better
concentration and improve the burning of fat for energy
production, reduce the risk of herpes infections or
recurrence, and aid in reliving some fertility problems.
Acetyl-L-Carnitine used as a
nutritional supplement has recently become popular based
upon compelling evidence of its ability to slow the
degradation of mental functions suffered by Alzheimer's
patients. ALC has also grown in popularity as a nutrient
taken by healthy people looking to increase mental
functions while slowing the loss of memory normally
associated with the aging process. L-ASPARTIC ACID: By
aiding in the expulsion of harmful ammonia, Aspartic
acid protects the nervous system. Athletes given salts
of aspartic acid showed increased stamina and endurance.
Immune system function has also been enhanced. L-ALANINE:
May alleviate hypoglycemia and improve immune system
function. It is a non-essential amino acid that can be
manufactured by the body from other sources as needed.
Alanine is one of the simplest of the amino acids and is
involved in the energy-producing breakdown of glucose.
In conditions of sudden anaerobic energy need, when
muscle proteins are broken down for energy, Alanine acts
as a carrier molecule to take the nitrogen-containing
amino group to the liver to be changed to the less toxic
urea, thus preventing buildup of toxic products in the
muscle cells when extra energy is needed. Because the
body easily constructs Alanine from other sources, no
deficiency state is known. Alanine is found in a wide
variety of foods, but is particularly concentrated in
meats. L-GLYCINE: The simplest chemical structure of the
aminos, remarkable benefits have been attributed to its
use. It has proven helpful to improve pituitary gland
function and works synergistically with Arginine and
ornithine to stimulate growth hormone release. I it
helps supply muscles with essential energy for muscle
function. Glycine has also proved useful for low blood
sugar and in relieving over secretion of stomach acid.
L-THREONINE promotes the proper utilization of dietary
protein. It is an essential amino acid & not
manufactured by the body and must be acquired from food.
It is an important constituent in many body proteins and
is necessary for the formation of tooth enamel protein,
collagen and elastin. It is a precursor to the amino
acids Glycine and serine. It acts as a lipotropic in
controlling fat build-up in the liver. L-VALINE, L-LEUCINE,
and L-ISOLEUCINE are known as branched chain amino
acids, the most potent muscle builders of the aminos.
Their use can reduce appetite, reverse the tendency of
muscles breakdown with heavy exertion, and increase
muscle growth. Within two hours of ingestion, 100
percent of branched chain amino acids are available to
muscle. GLUCOSAMINE is required by the body for the
synthesis of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs). These long
chains of modified sugars make up many body tissues,
including tendons, ligaments, cartilage, mucus membranes
in the digestive and respiratory tracts, and structures
in the eyes, blood vessels, and heart valves. In a test
conducted with GemAminos over 120 day period, the
majority of the 300 respondents reported: increased
physical energy, greater mental clarity, deeper
insights, enhanced creativity, a brighter outlook on the
future, decreased stress levels, higher levels of
serenity, and more confidence in facing daily life.
GemAminos is more than solid nutrition; it's food for
the mind, body and spirit.
Precautions:
L-Phenylalanine, DL-Phenylalanine,
and L-Tyrosine: Should be used with physician guidance
if you have elevated blood pressure, heart problems, or
skin cancer. Should be avoided in persons with
phenylketonuria or pregnant or nursing women. L-Ornithine:
Pregnant and lactating women should avoid this nutrient.
It is advised against in people under age 21 and in
schizophrenic persons. Niacin: May cause flushing (a
feeling of warmth and reddening of the skin). This
effect is temporary and harmless. L-Arginine: May
aggravate a tendency to herpes eruptions, which taking
3-6 grams of L-lysine per day may counteract. It is
advised against in people under age 21 and in
schizophrenic persons. Should be avoided in pregnant and
lactating women. Avoid L-arginine when subject to
frequent migraine headaches, taking medication for
depression, autoimmune disorders (like lupus,
inflammatory bowel disease, or multiple sclerosis),
breast cancer, liver cirrhosis, or AIDS.
5-Hydroxytryptophan (5HTP): Should not be taken by
persons on monoamine oxidase inhibitor anti-
depressants. Persons taking Serotonin Specific Reuptake
Inhibitor (SSRI) anti-depressants like Prozac or Zoloft
should consult with their health care practitioners
before taking 5HTP supplements. Persons who have had
sensitivity to 5HTP should avoid further use. DMAE:
Should be monitored by your physician if epilepsy or
manic-depressive illness is present, otherwise it is
safe.
